The ICC belongs to the women. Having a dais comprising of 2/3rd majority of intelligent females, the committee is run fully by the female gender. Any placard raised confidently to contribute to the ardent debate is one belonging to a woman. Any determined voice to support or revolt against belongs to a woman. Any firm point which earns a few approving bangs on the table adding fuel to the fire is from the women. The fire is of the women.
Despite the committee not
having any crisis
on the first day it remained in a state of determined focus to work on the case of the first lady of Ivory Coast. The
current prime minister under
president Gbagbo was brought forward as a witness. He was questioned and his statements were examined by the
defense council and the
prosecutor. After a thorough debate, the defense council won and proved that Simone Gbagbo also known as the Hilary
Clinton of Ivory Coast was not
guilty for her accusations. A successful resolution was passed by the committee with unanimous votes.
During the end of the day the committee
had a colorful time with a motion for entertainment. The head of photography, an international delegate,
the chair of AU and SPECPOL performed changing
the mood of the auditorium to that
of a Broadway show. There was a short dance between the chair of ICC and vice chair of Security Council
which transformed the suave judges
into chaotic hooters.
Nevertheless, ICC maintained its purpose of committee and had a final ten minute
moderated caucus in hopes to draw
a conclusion by the judges. It was as though the entire committee of the ICC represented the actual happenings
in the world especially with the
extraordinary potential women have in store and did in this case portray
phenomenally.
